the last straw in the coffin

I saw this one on yardflex.com, which is a website about Jamaican issues:
“All respect to Trinidad, but they own more of the country’s assets than we do, selling them Air Jamaica will now be the last straw in the coffin.”

I AM the malaphor king, mon.
Love how you explain where each malaphor was found and what two phrases were joined together incorrectly. So interesting.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Thanks Tina! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your beautiful family.
If I could have figured out how, I would have left a picture of Ray Bolger, in costume, with a “R.I.P” caption.
