Out of our price league

I heard this one years ago when a chain of stores called “Price Club” existed. I imagine that may have prompted today’s malaphor, a mixture of “not in my price range” and “out of my league”. Both indicate something unattainable. Maybe the combination means it REALLY is unattainable?
I like found malaphors, but I think we need a new category for ones that only work on the page. Hominypropaphors? For example, I saw this on FB:
“I smacked the policeman because that’s the way I role!”
yes, certainly there are a lot of sub-categories here. I will stick to the malaphors for now as I have a lot of material.
